Printmakers Council: Land, Sea and Sky
My print, 'That Shirt', has been selected for the Printmakers Council exhibition, Land, Sea and Sky at the Ropewalk Gallery in Barton upon Humber. The exhibition will run from the 26th October until the 16th December 2019. The Ropewalk is a former ropewalk (a long building where rope was made) in Barton-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire, originally built in 1767. It is a Grade II Listed building and currently operates as a regional centre for the arts.
John Purcell Paper Prize at Ochre Print Studio
It was a lovely surprise to be awarded the John Purcell Paper Prize at the Ochre Print Studio Summer Exhibition. The standard of submissions this year was extremely high, and exhibiting alongside so many talented printmakers made receiving the prize even more special. Thanks to Ochre's tireless team of organisers and volunteers, and to artist Mary Branson for selecting my work on behalf of John Purcell Paper.
Printmakers Council: Journeys Travelling Exhibition
The Printmakers Council has been working hard, as usual, to find interesting places to exhibit, and I am pleased to say that my print, Winds in the East, has been selected for this travelling exhibition. It starts off at the London Print Studio in west London and finishes at the Jack House Gallery in Portsmouth.
Royal Scottish Academy Open Exhibition 2018
It is a great pleasure to be selected for the annual open exhibition at the RSA in Edinburgh. My collagraph 'Under Kindly Stars' will be on show from 23rd June to 25th July. Drawing from artists across the whole of Scotland and beyond, this exhibition in the RSA’s Lower Galleries showcases a wide range of small and medium sized works selected through open submission, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints and photography.www.royalscottishacademy.org
I am delighted to be taking part in the annual LOOP exhibition at Bankside Gallery on the South Bank in September 2018. LOOP is an informal co-operative of artists with a background in print. Some of these artists have exhibited internationally, set up print studios, or pursued teaching careers, while others have continued to work in their own studios. A few newcomers have recently completed a Printmaking MA at Camberwell College. LOOP is an evolving platform that has presented some of the best in new printmaking.
Scarborough Museum and Gallery Print Archive
'The Man at the Corner Table' screenprint has been selected for inclusion in the permanent art collection of the Scarborough Art Gallery and Museum. The gallery houses a Public Fine Art Collection including works by Ernest Dade, Lord Leighton, Ivon Hitchens, Matthew Smith, Edward Bawden and Eric Ravilious. The original Printmakers Council Archive donated 150 prints in 1992, some of which will be displayed alongside selected pieces from the 2017 donation in an exhibition: Lasting Impressions: A Selection of Works from the Printmakers Council Archive.

'50 Years of Artists Prints' Exhibition at Bankside
The PV for the Printmakers Council's '50 Years of Artist's Prints' Exhibition at Bankside Gallery was buzzing with people. A huge turnout of members and friends celebrated the innovative and the traditional in printmaking, by a broad spectrum of artists from 1965 to the present. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of 110 Mini prints from current members to Gill Saunders, Senior Curator of Prints at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
