ING Discerning Eye
30/09/2022I am delighted to have my painting, 'Enclosed', selected for this year's ING Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Galleries. The Discerning Eye is an educational charity, established in the UK in 1990, to encourage a wider understanding and appreciation of the visual arts and to stimulate debate about the place and purpose of art in our society, and the contribution each one of us can make to its development. The exhibition comprises both publicly submitted works and works independently selected by six prominent figures from different areas of the art world: two artists, two collectors and two critics. Each section is hung separately to give each its own distinctive identity. The impression emerges of six small exhibitions within the whole.

The money raised will help Art UK grow its schools learning resources, add more artworks to its platform and tell the stories about underrepresented artists. Head over to the Auction Collective website to see the ART UK auction viewing room.

The RSA Annual Exhibition is the most extensive exhibition of contemporary art and architecture in Scotland. Having been a mainstay of the academy's calendar since its inception 193 years ago, the Annual Exhibition has evolved over the years, providing a platform for Scottish art alongside international artists, often including topical or political elements, to give an uncensored, independent voice to artists.

The standard of submissions this year was extremely high, and exhibiting alongside so many talented printmakers made receiving the prize even more special. 14/02/2018I am delighted to be taking part in the annual LOOP exhibition at Bankside Gallery on the South Bank in September 2018. LOOP is an informal co-operative of artists with a background in print. Some of these artists have exhibited internationally, set up print studios, or pursued teaching careers, while others have continued to work in their own studios. A few newcomers have recently completed a Printmaking MA at Camberwell College. LOOP is an evolving platform that has presented some of the best in new printmaking.
Under Kindly Stars was shortlisted in the final round of judging for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2017
